Chester Long Distance Sculls
Another stunning race for the Royal Chester juniors.
In the morning division Ross stormed to victory in his single ( no suprises there then) despite being told by both Duncan and Charles that he wasnt trying hard enough. Ben unfortunatly was beaten by the brow, but no need to worry I have a plan. I think that if we shave off the monobrow then he will loose all his sculling powers like Samson. Claire and Ruth had a row over in the double and unfortunatly Hannah and Emma had to pull out due to unforseen circumstances.
In the afternoon, after a strange attack of cramp that onnly happens to lean people Ben and Ross stormes to victory on the double despite starting at the back of the pack. The J15 boys quad of Dan, Dav, Jonathon and Rik had a stunning victory over Runcorn by a massive 49 seconds! Caz and Hannah both beat their opponents from George Watsons college which was excellent performances on both behalfs.

SINGLES
Northwich was very eventful for us. Caz, Fi, Ross and Ben all entered in the first division, for single scullers. All did well with Caz and Ross winning,. Ross won easily by 20 seconds or so, whilst Caz had a battle on her hands but thanks to Duncans shouting managed to win by just 2 seconds! Well done all!
DOUBLES
The juniors entered 3 doubles :
Hannah and Emma, Ross and Ben and Jonathon and Robert. Ross and Ben stormed to victory, well done lads. The other two boats unfortuntly didnt win but both did very well against tough opposition.
THE QUAD
After Sitting around for ages at the start getting stung by nettles and getting very cold we were ready to go. Unfortunatly my wonderful new cox box doesnt work so we were without it but i did have another one which I forgot to start and stop, oops!. Liverpool Victoria had scratched so that left us and the Grange. They kept up with us untill the Blue Bridge when we decided to push and it turned out we won by an excellent 29 seconds.

This one was the very first race for the God Quad and being at home we felt confident. The race for us got off to a good start when we began to pull away from QEHS Hexham, our only opponets. It turned out that we won by a long shot and were only 4 seconds behind the WJ16 coxless quad winners! ( A wee bit impressive).
